A Lesson in Courage

We had the privilege of learning from Major Steve Major (originally from Windsor), who came to our class today to present about The Dieppe Raid on August 19, 1942. We learned what happened leading up to this event in history, and why it happened. Major Nagy also highlighted what Canada learned from this tragedy (2/3 of the soldiers were killed at the Battle of Dieppe), which set the stage for success on D-Day.
